Seaport Village in San Diego is a popular spot along the coast, filled with shops and restaurants. You can enjoy dining and shopping with beautiful ocean views, all in an open-air setting that lets you soak in San Diego’s relaxed atmosphere. It’s only about a 10-minute drive from downtown and the airport. At sunset, you can see the Coronado Bridge and nearby lights illuminating the area, making it a fantastic location!
Seaport Village’s Unique Shops
Seaport Village is home to around 50 shops, offering a variety of beach-style apparel, pet goods, and local accessories and clothing, making it a great place to find San Diego-inspired gifts.
The carousel in Seaport Village is a handmade piece from 1895, featuring beautiful carvings and colors crafted by artisans, and is considered a landmark of Seaport Village. Unfortunately, I forgot to check it out this time, so it’ll be something to look forward to on my next visit.
Gourmet and Ocean-View Restaurants
Seaport Village offers a variety of casual takeout spots, ocean-view restaurants, and bars. With plenty of places to enjoy the ocean view, it’s perfect for a stroll or relaxing. There are many benches and tables to enjoy your takeout while admiring the scenery. The view of San Diego Bay at sunset is particularly breathtaking.
Nearby Attractions
Seaport Village also provides convenient access to nearby attractions. A 10-minute walk along the coast brings you to the USS Midway Museum, which showcases the aircraft carrier Midway. Another 1–2 minute walk from there is San Diego Harbor, where whale-watching cruise tours depart. Most whale-watching tours take about half a day, so it’s a great plan to enjoy Seaport Village leisurely on the same day!
